Acts of Blood Demo v.0.9 Update Overhauls Combat and Animations
Acts of Blood demo v.0.9 improves combat responsiveness, updates control layouts, fixes memory leaks, and adds new finisher animations.
Eksil Team has released version 0.9 for the Acts of Blood demo, bringing adjustments to combat tracking, animation root motion, and performance stability.
Combat Tracking and Controls
Attack animations feature improved root motion to prevent characters from striking empty air from a distance. Hit points magnetize toward enemies in different directions, and interrupted finisher or counter animations no longer freeze characters in place. Gun mechanics and basic combat controls revert to standard button inputs for aiming and shooting.
Visuals and Animations
The demo adds X-Ray visual effects to final finishers, alongside new sets of punch, kick, finisher, and counter animations. Walking animations no longer feature sliding, parkour landings include added foley and visual effects, and tutorial popouts contain fewer words.
Audio, Balance, and Optimization
Footstep foley sounds no longer overlap, and Jagal executions feature an updated chainsaw sound effect. Enemy difficulty is rebalanced. Technical optimizations address memory leaks and uneven texture resolutions.
Why this patch matters
Version 0.9 targets the demo's primary friction points by tightening hit detection, smoothing movement, and improving stability.
