Acts of Blood Demo Patch v0.8.9 Overhauls Gun Mechanics and Combat
The latest demo build for Acts of Blood revises gun durability, camera behavior, and enemy aggression. Developer Eksil Team also removed auto-targeting magnet adhesion and fixed multiple audio and collision bugs.
Eksil Team released demo patch version 0.8.9 for Acts of Blood, bringing adjustments to combat, weaponry, and interface elements. The update tackles navigation snags, input bugs, and mechanical flow.
Combat and Targeting Rework
Combat relies on manual direction following the removal of magnet-like enemy adhesion during attacks. Players must actively direct their strikes at specific targets. The patch also introduces new finisher and counter moves alongside aggressive enemy AI behavior.
Weapon and Projectile Adjustments
Guns receive several tweaks, including separated ammo amounts and durability bars. Firearms no longer vanish when their ammo reaches zero, and floating projectile bugs are fixed. Enemy projectile hits register more accurately based on specific body parts.
Environment and Navigation Fixes
Dead enemy bodies no longer block the navigation paths of other enemy AI. Developers fixed missing floor audio, combat music dropouts, unresponsive menu buttons, and unreactive enemy animations.
Visual and Audio Presentation
The update brings a dynamic camera system alongside adjustments to overall lighting, post-processing effects, sound effect volume balance, and footstep audio. Dodge animations are adjusted to look grounded and realistic.
Why this patch matters
This comprehensive demo patch directly addresses mechanical rigidity by giving players manual control over spacing and weapon durability.
