Acts of Blood Demo Patch v0.8.5 Adds Hardcore Mode and Combat Improvements

Acts of Blood receives a new demo update adding a hardcore mode, a start game option, and HUD hiding settings. Version 0.8.5 also improves enemy counter responsiveness, movement flow, and weapon pickup mechanics.

A fresh demo update for Acts of Blood brings gameplay additions and mechanical tweaks based on player feedback. Version 0.8.5 introduces a hardcore difficulty setting alongside major combat system refinements.

New Modes and Options

Players can now select a hardcore mode for a tougher challenge. The update also adds a start new game option, a hide HUD toggle, control option saving, and the ability to save your preferred layout.

Combat and Counter Overhaul

The fighting base movement and lock-on button responsiveness are improved. The enemy counter window and counter UI stat responsiveness are adjusted, alongside an overall system overhaul for counter attacks. Players can now perform just counters without triggering full enemy animations, and can execute finishers without waiting for downed enemies to stand back up.

Movement and World Fixes

You can now pick up weapons quickly while dodge rolling. The patch resolves an issue where the F key failed to pick up objects within the correct radius, corrects gun positioning during gun finisher moves, and updates the Hendra base model.

Why this patch matters

Version 0.8.5 directly targets combat responsiveness and quality-of-life options in the Acts of Blood demo, making brawls feel tighter and less restrictive.
