Acts of Blood Demo Patch v.0.8.6 Overhauls Combat and Controls

The latest demo update for Acts of Blood improves motion warping, fixes unresponsive damage bugs, and rebalances enemy difficulty.

A fresh update for the Acts of Blood demo is now live, bringing a long list of quality-of-life adjustments, input tweaks, and bug fixes straight from player feedback.

Combat and Animation Fixes

Light and heavy attacks, counters, and finisher motion warping have all received direct improvements. The patch fixes an issue where players became unresponsive to damage after vaulting, and enemies no longer become invulnerable to damage following a counter-interrupt. Additionally, a counter fail animation cooldown has been introduced to prevent spamming the counter button.

Input and Menu Tweaks

Control mappings have been revised across both keyboard and gamepad. Crouch is now mapped to LCtrl on keyboards, shooting moves to RT on gamepads, and dropping weapons now requires holding F or B. A restart level option has also been added to the pause menu alongside weather volume adjustments.

Why this patch matters

Version 0.8.6 addresses core combat frustrations and control oddities in the Acts of Blood demo, making encounters feel tighter and more responsive.
